The Carpenter Family

Family pictures in the dead of winter may not sound all that appealing, but let me comfort you by letting you know it’s not all that bad. The locations I use are just a stones throw from the car. But on this particular day, for example, it was freezing. Luckily the Carpenter kids were amazing and came prepared with jackets and blankets.

I’ve been friends with the Carpenters since our wildlings were in preschool. Every time I visit their house, I can’t help but admire their family picture above the mantel. Their youngest, my daughter’s best friend, was just an infant and their oldest was maybe in first grade. I don’t push my photography on my friends, but I do love to tease about it. So when my good friend (the mom) reached out to me to take their family pictures this year I was beyond humbled, a little nervous, and so excited to get them in front of my lens.

Carpenter’s, thank you so much for hiring me to take your family pictures. I cannot wait to see which image you select to go above your mantel. So much love and appreciation! xx
