I was honored to photograph this beautiful family several days before Dad left on a deployment. The quietness of the studio allowed for intimate moments between mom and dad, and as I watched them, I could feel swelling in my own eyes as I knew that in a matter of days, they would be apart for months. For me, it brought back so many feels... when my husband and I first got married, he, too, was in the military and had to travel away for lengths at a time. It made life hard, and as I witnessed this young family with similar emotions, my heart was heavy for them. I pray the next 6 months flies for them.
