The Results Are In...

In January, I did something I have never done before -- I submitted images in the Shoot & Share Photo Contest. This particular contest is free and anyone can enter up to 50 images across 25 different categories. This year, approximately 413,000 images were submitted from all over the world! Over 81 million votes were cast, and the results are in!

Of the images I submitted, 39 got awards. Still, as I type this, I cannot believe it. I am seriously humbled, and very surprised and excited with the outcome.

So, before you read any further, I just want to say thank you. Thank you to all that voted and thank you to all that let me know they saw my images. This was quite the experience and I couldn't be more proud. If you entered, I want to say congratulations to you. Regardless of your results, it's hard to put your images out there for the world to see and to be judged. I was terrified and I'm sure you were too, so here's to being vulnerable, brave, scared, and every emotion in between. High-fives to us!

Class of 2018, Senior Portraits || Ogden Senior Photographer

Congrats to the class of 2018, your generation will change the world! But before you enter the world, take a moment for your "self"-ie.

Get senior pictures taken of this momentous occasion by a professional so you can create your own special take on what it means to you, to be a High School senior in 2018. It’s your senior portrait and it should be so much more individual than the school picture, let me be the one to celebrate your individuality and your accomplishments in your senior portrait.

I am a professional photographer in northern Utah specializing in senior portraits. I have the professional equipment and software to enable me to capture more of "you".

With all of the distractions of being a high school senior in today’s world, take a moment out of your busy schedule to have professional Senior portraits taken. I can promise you 3 things this year. One, high school will be behind you before you know it. Two, I will pour my talent and professional equipment into delivering you the best senior portrait experience and photos imaginable. Three, this moment will never happen for you again.

It's all about YOU, it really is. At your senior portraits, we can incorporate your mission photos. Or...

Fresh From Heaven || Ogden Newborn Photographer

Oh, sweet baby, my ovaries are KILLING me! ;) This little guy was THE absolute sweetest, full of energy and serious camera candy. He did not want to sleep (until the very end) and put on the cutest show that I could only dream of.

This is Joseph.

Katwijk Fall Family Photos || Ogden Family Photographer

Their boys, these tones and colors, this location, and everything in between makes my photography heart so happy - I had so much fun! This is what family portraits is all about... laughing, having fun, and creating genuine portraits that aren't stiff and awkward.

Celebrating Life w/ the Huizenga's || Ogden Family Photographer

This session makes me so happy... This beautifully sweet family are expecting their third baby in the coming year and they asked me to document the big announcement. At the time of the session, we didn't know if it was going to be a girl or a boy, so we planned for both.

It was a long 4 weeks as I anxiously awaited to find out the sex and when I did, I was ecstatic. These are the moments I love to document, and I'm so thankful was able to do it for them.

Congratulations Huizenga Family - I'm so excited for you! <3

Urban Fall Family Pictures w/ the Cook's || Ogden Family Photographer

I love urban family photography. It doesn't matter what time of year it is, it always looks clean and crisp.... and the Cook family showed up in THE best outfits that complimented this location so well.

Vlaming Family Fall Portraits || Ogden Family Photographer

I met the Vlaming family at Snowbasin Ski Resort in early October.

When we first started discussing their session, they asked if they could bring their dog along to the shoot. Pups, IMO, are part of the family, so I didn't see why not to have him there <3

This season has turned me into a complete sucker for portraits in grass! She and this location were SO incredibly gorgeous!

And mom + dad... I couldn't get enough of their portraits! So in love!

Blaming family, thank you so much!

Boskovic Family Fall Portraits || Ogden Family Photographer

I met the Boskovic Family at Neffs Canyon in Salt Lake City earlier this month. It was a perfect day for their fall family session. They were as excited to be out in the color as I was excited to be shooting them in it.

They were so much fun and now have me longing for my own picnic in the mountains...

And how about these "together since" shirts?! Cutest idea EVER! Thank you so much, Boskovic Family!
